Q2 2026 “What’s the Deal?”

AEG Partners recently served as financial advisor to a multilocation heavy equipment dealership operating across the Southeast. The company’s principals had personally guaranteed its debt obligations, raising the stakes considerably; a poor outcome threatened not only the business but the owners’ personal financial standing. AEG was introduced to the situation by an investment banker who recognized that the leadership team would benefit from hands-on assistance stabilizing performance and preparing the business for a sale. Moving quickly, AEG established operating and liquidity visibility that gave management and stakeholders a clear, credible picture of the company’s trajectory for the first time. AEG then monetized non-core assets to bolster liquidity and earned the confidence and continued support of the company’s lender—a critical factor in preserving runway and optionality. Working closely with the investment bank, these efforts culminated in a successful sale of the business and full repayment of the company’s debt, protecting the lender’s position and releasing the principals from their personal guarantees.
Tom Jones of Concord Financial Advisors, LLC announces the closing of a $13.7 million senior debt transaction for a higher education institution in Illinois. Concord served as the exclusive financial advisor. Concord also recently celebrated 25 years in business serving middle market companies, lenders and sponsors with their debt financing needs.

Ravinia Capital successfully closed a competitive Section 363 auction sale of LVX System’s 68-patent Li-Fi portfolio on behalf of Chapter 7 Trustee Rick Stermer. A rigorous global marketing effort secured a qualified stalking horse bid that set the auction floor, then drew competing over-bids at the live auction. The result delivered recovery for creditors and placed core Li-Fi and Visible Light Communication innovations with a buyer positioned to bring them to market.
Kevin A. Krakora, CTP, Senior Managing Director of Getzler Henrich & Associates, a Hilco Global Company, recently completed his 21-month assignment as President and CEO of UniGroup, C.A., a $1 billion St. Louis-based transportation company with well-known brands Mayflower Transit and United Van Lines. Kevin led UniGroup’s turnaround and transformation, generating significant cash for strategic initiatives, increasing its market share, improving its balance sheet, reducing G&A expenses, and achieving its first annual profit in more than five years. As a result of Kevin’s leadership, UniGroup is now well-positioned with a solid financial and operational foundation to advance its strategic initiatives and grow into the future as the industry leader.
