Building Opportunity Through the TMA

    Q1 2026 President’s Message

It is a privilege to serve as President of the TMA Chicago/Midwest Chapter as we begin an exciting new year together. Our chapter continues to thrive because of the energy, engagement, and expertise of its members, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help build on the strong foundation laid by those who came before me.

As we look ahead to 2026, my theme for the year is “Pipeline to Prosperity.” At its core, this theme reflects what TMA does better than any organization in our industry – creating meaningful pathways to opportunity. Whether it’s developing new business relationships, expanding professional expertise, mentoring future leaders, or strengthening our collective deal flow, the TMA serves as a powerful connector that fuels both individual success and the long-term health of our industry.

The true value of TMA membership lies in this pipeline. Through high-quality educational programming and targeted networking opportunities to build lasting relationships that result in new business opportunities, which our chapter provides members at every stage of their career with access to ideas, relationships, and experiences that simply aren’t available elsewhere. Participation – showing up, volunteering, engaging – turns that access into opportunity, and opportunity into growth and prosperity.

That spirit was on full display at our Annual Martini Party, which was a tremendous success once again. This year’s addition of casino gaming benefitting the Scholarship Foundation added a new level of excitement and energy, creating a memorable evening that brought our chapter community together in a fun and social setting. Events like this are a reminder that strong professional relationships are often built when we step away from our desks, enjoy each other’s company, learn how we can help each other by explaining what we all “do for a living” and strengthen those connections that make our chapter special.

As we move through the first quarter and beyond, I encourage you to think about how you can engage with the TMA pipeline – by attending events and meeting new people to build your network, contributing to a chapter event committee, supporting chapter initiatives, or welcoming new members. Together, we can continue building a chapter that delivers value, fosters growth, and creates prosperity for all involved.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming programs and working alongside you in the year ahead.

    Warm regards,

    Sandy Prabhakar
    President, TMA Chicago/Midwest Chapter
